Gregory Johnson
Mr. Johnson has over
30 years experience in high tech business development in
both corporate and venture environments, domestically and
internationally.
Mr.
Johnson served as the President and COO of ParinGenix,
Inc., an early-stage phamaceutical company.
Prior to joining ParinGenix, Mr. Johnson served as
a partner with Academy Funds and also as Director,
Business Development, for Hoechst Research & Technology,
where he had 28 years experience in developing
and
commercializing high technology materials for health
care, textile, electronic, biotechnology, sports
and structural
applications. In this position he was responsible
for creating technology based investment opportunities
and
businesses for Hoechst, a $30 billion corporation. By
using market-focused concept development along with
a
staged investment protocol, Mr. Johnson created a
portfolio valued at $250 million. He achieved
a project success rate from concept through successful
commercialization nearly three times the industry average.
Mr. Johnson has proven business and technical skills
in intellectual property, strategy creation and
implementation, commercial development, start-ups,
customer and vendor strategic relationships, international
business practices, and creation of high value businesses
and investment opportunities. He holds a degree
in Chemical Engineering from Northwestern University. He
has served on the boards of directors for Waveguide Solutions,
Inc., MindValve, Inc., and Nanotechnologies, Inc.
